Private & Semi-Private Basketball Training

THE X-FACTOR METHOD

Precision Over Repetition

Private training at X-Factor is the process of isolating specific weaknesses in a player's game and reconstructing them into strengths. Unlike general camps where you might get lost in the crowd, our 1-on-1 and semi-private (2-player) sessions focus entirely on you.

This is not for recreational players. Our private training is a high-intensity laboratory for advanced athletes who need to correct micro-mechanics and master game-speed decision-making.

We do not run "cookie-cutter" drills. Every session is custom-tailored by Xavier Allen and our staff to address your specific mechanical needs, from footwork efficiency to shot pocket placement.

ADVANCED SKILL DEVELOPMENT

What We Train

Our philosophy is built on "The Details." We focus on the nuances that separate good players from great ones. Expect to work on:

Micro-Mechanics:

Correcting hand placement, elbow alignment, and balance points for a consistent jump shot.

Elite Footwork:

Mastering drop steps, split catches, and pivot efficiency to create space against tight defense.

Game-Speed Pace:

Learning how to change speeds and use hesitation moves to freeze defenders.

Shot Creation:

Developing a go-to package of moves for 1-on-1 situations, influenced by pro-level scoring concepts.

Basketball IQ:

Understanding spacing, reading the defense, and making the right decision in split-second scenarios.

PRO-LEVEL MENTORSHIP

The Xavier Allen Advantage

Your child will not be trained by a volunteer dad or a novice coach. They will be trained by a New York State scoring champion (32 PPG) and active professional player.

Xavier Allen brings the intensity of the pro game to Long Island. Having spent time in the gym with NBA stars like Jimmy Butler and Kevin Love, Xavier knows exactly what the highest level looks like. He demands that same level of focus and effort from every private training client.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about our private and semi-private training sessions.

How long is a private training session?

Our private sessions typically last 60 minutes. This hour is high-intensity and non-stop, designed to maximize reps and instruction without wasting time.

Can I bring a teammate for semi-private training?

Yes, we encourage semi-private training (2 players). This allows athletes to compete against a peer of similar skill level, which helps translate drills into live-game scenarios while still receiving individual correction.

Do you train beginners in private sessions?

No, we do not. Our program is strictly for advanced players (6th grade and up) with prior competitive experience. We focus on elite skill refinement, not introducing the basic rules of the game.

Who will be conducting the training?

Sessions are led by Xavier Allen or a certified X-Factor trainer who has been personally vetted and trained in our specific curriculum and "Details" philosophy.

What should I bring to my session?

Athletes should bring their own basketball, water, proper basketball footwear, and a "pro" mindset. We expect players to arrive early and be ready to work the moment the session begins.

How do I pay for private training?

We offer single sessions and package rates. Please email us directly to discuss current pricing and to lock in your training slot.
